Managing a landfill site is a complex and on-going process. Keys are in managing the methane produced by decomposing garbage, and the leachette (contaminated run-off) from the land fill.

Tract has, and works with, talented engineers capable of and willing to take on challenging, large scale projects that require creative solutions.

This project was led by well known local engineer Tom Kendall. Work included the expansion of the existing gas collection and piping system at the Robin Hood Bay Landfill Site. Additionally, installation of two different types of geomembranes: a Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL) to form an Interim Cover and a Bituminous Geomembrane to form part of a final cover for the eastern extents of the landfill. pouring concrete at the site through most of the night.
