Bartlett’s Point is a coastal Park in the Bay of Islands. The park was developed over a number of years and constructed by the Corner Brook Stream Development Corporation. The main access to the park is actually through the Bay of Islands Yacht Club. The site enjoys a short but lovely coastal trail, access to the beach, play areas, pavilions and special events spaces. A great place to just sit and enjoy the beautiful Bay of Islands.

Bartlett’s Point had a significant role in the development of the fishing industry on the west coast. It was one of the few Towns where fishers owned waterfront lots.

Community parks and recreation facilities development are often designed in partnership with commercial, not- for-profit and volunteer organizations. This park is a great example of that fact. The main access to the park is on a turn that hides the roadside park entry, making for a dangerous entry. So the Corner Brook Stream Development Corporation asked the Yacht Club to permit visitor access through the marina, and access the site via a large ramp near the parking lot that we had proposed. The Yacht Club agreed and, because of a willing partner, a great park was developed.
